Excellent Christmas Clip Art – 3 Tips for Discovering It!
Before you do anything, you ought to first consider that the ‘best and beautiful’ usually come at a cost, and that includes money! Please do not count on something for nothing. Others have invested their own resources.
Now the method is pretty simple, you must search for it. No, I’m not trying to be coy. You can clearly find Christmas clip art, but to obtain a ‘great’ gallery, it either falls into your lap (hardly ever) or you search for it. Here are a few tips:
- Put your search terms in quotes and be as precise as possible. For instance, “nativity clip art” might perform better for you than just entering ‘Christmas clip art’. If you search for “great Christmas clip art”, be expecting to get a lot of results. You don’t expect people to promote “hideous Christmas clip art”, do you? -BTW, Google found no results when I ran a search on “hideous Christmas clip art”! (thankfully)-
- Be on the lookout for ‘public domain’ or ‘royalty-free’ clip art, which typically means that you can make use of it as much as you like with just a one-time charge. You usually cannot resell the clip art, so please read the licensing agreement that should come with it!
- And finally, verify the file formats of the clip art before you buy. Nearly all should come as JPG/JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, or a combination of these, which will comply with virtually all applications (with a little editing). Vector and layer formats such as EPS, PSD, and WMF are not as widely accepted as the other formats and typically have need of more specialized editing software.
