Design Store Started By Ingenious American Retail Master
Shopko design store has some groundbreaking stories for Council Bluffs. The retail merchandiser is bringing a fifth Shopko store to Iowa as well as a 5th store to the suburban Omaha market. This may be the 1st Shopko store in Council Bluffs.
This month, Shopko will open the 1st new store to be built in six years. The new design store will be a departure from the look and layout of current Shopko stores. The new store in Council Bluffs will incorporate Shopkos new prototype design and is the 1st store claimed for 2009.
The Council Bluff prototype incorporates a number of elements which will make patrons shopping experience both stimulating and efficient. The stores colour, lighting and features will permit customers to simply see the merchandise. The store layout will feature a drugstore and optical center at the very front of the store for extra convenience.
The aisle pattern and signing in the shop will make the client shopping experience terribly efficient. All the parts of the store will make allowances for navigation by strollers and carts. The eighty thousand square foot size of the Council Bluff store makes it large enough to carry our full collection yet not so big as to overmaster customers.
This statement represents the continuation of an enjoyable expansion phase for Shopko, expounded Michael R. MacDonald, Shopko Chairman and General manager. In 2008, Shopko will open 5 new stores in Wisconsin and another in Minnesota. These include 3 new full-line prototype stores and 3 Shopko Express stores.
The new Council Bluffs store is a component of a 50-acre development that will be co-anchored by design store creator J.C. Penney, which includes retailers, cafes, and banking facilities. Magnum Development of Omaha is leading the project. The store is planned to open in March 2009.
