DJ or Guitar player?
With DJ Hero close to release what are its chances against its own company?? Not very likely. There are several reasons why not..
Guitar Hero has a very successful back log of games that seem to out sell the past instalment every time a new add-on to the franchise is released. Another thing to add is that many people would actually rather go out and pay for a rock game than a club game. However with the release of Band Hero the pop market of songs is also going to be thrown out there so the company are actually competing against themselves in three different ways.
However DJ Hero itself is still a unique game. The game itself is going to be at around £90 and comes with a DJ turntable controller that will let you mix and scratch your way through over one hundred songs ranging from 80s all the way to Motown and Rock. There are many artists already confirmed to be in the game
50 cent
Beastie Boys
Dizzee Rascal
Public Enemy
DJ Shadow
David Bowie
However like the Guitar Hero games it is recommended that if you are actually already a DJ that you do not go and trade in your DJ Speakers and DJ Software for this game in the same way trading in your musical instruments for Guitar Hero was not a good idea.
However the game itself looks like it could be a big success to the people who are interested in being a DJ but cannot afford to take the time and money to take it up as a full time job. Just like playing the guitar, being a DJ takes a lot of time and effort to do and this is just in place for people to have a bit of fun with in the holiday season and beyond.
