How To Understand Painting As A Fine Art

For more than once, the beauty of Shenandoah Valley has been put by a female Route 1 Bridgewater resident on painting. Having been painting for 36 years of her life, capturing landscape beauty isn’t the only reason why she carries around easel and oils to mountains and cornfields. More than that, she uses pictures clipped from daily newspapers to paint her masterpieces.

According to her, she can put back the color in an old fashioned way, which is black and white. The artist adds that to be able to use them in a larger picture, she has to cut out pictures of objects and animals as well. According to her, the 15 by 4 ft mural on her family room is a result of just a newspaper photograph of two millstones, which she holds up while telling the story. The blending of grey mill wheels and rustic millhouse near a riverbank is perfect. If you like our article on paintings then check out photo to canvas painting.

The artist makes it clear that the mural on the wall is the result of incorporating all her photograph detailing techniques, which she also uses for weather board buildings, farm crops and equipment, and wood land animal paintings. In order to do this, she only needs water. Water, however, is easy to use for painting because it dries out fast.

The last newspaper photo she showed has a snow scene and she said she has planned to start on it soon. Snow is quite fast to do and easy to paint. The mural and one or two more other smaller scenes are the only paintings the artist has in her home. Apparently, the rest of her countless paintings are either sold or given away.

Her items are usually sold through a Hagerstown furniture dealer in Maryland. She also paints at the request of friends and neighbors. She rarely has free time because of countless orders. During Christmas time, she usually gets more orders because people want to give her paintings as gifts. Obtain more knowledge on paintings at classic oil painting masters.

In Rockingham County, she has a nice old lady neighbor who gave her some painting lessons when she was 13 years old. For only 25 cents, she got lessons and sat painting for a whole afternoon. She showed the very first pallet she used, which her mother made for her when she was little using a paring knife, a drill and a lightweight board. To tell how it was made, a note was decoupage on the old pallet, even if it was smeared with paint all over.

She made a family room in their home dedicated to items from their church that has been put down about six years ago. You get a clear view of the river thanks to the huge glass wall on one entire face of the room, and as the sun filters through you could just see how amazing it is. She said that the glass wall gives them the impression that the outdoors is inside the house.

When she painted the mural, she had to find something just right to fit the room. Her children told her the rustic family room and the bright foliage with rusts, red and gold did not mix well, so she had to redo the mural three quarters through completion. The artist said she would no longer add more pictures in her home, so people could simply just focus on the eye catching mural on the wall which tells of how much she love painting.
