So Many Museums To Visit While Staying At Beautiful Paris Hotels
A break in Paris will provide the opportunity for a holiday packed with history and art. This magical city is replete with iconic sites such as the Champs de Elysee and Eiffel tower yet the real delight lies in its many museums. There is something for everyone to enjoy, be it prehistoric dinosaur bones at the Natural History Museum or the captivating sight of the Mona Lisa. As one of the world’s largest museums, The Louvre houses a massive collection of Western art from ancient civilizations through the Middle Ages to 1848, with sculpture and paintings, including the “must see” Leonardo, Mona Lisa! The museum is split into a number of areas: Greek, Etruscan and Roman Antiquities; Egyptian Antiquities; Near Eastern Antiquities; Islamic Art; Paintings;Prints and Drawings.

Not only is it a museum but Paris’s Natural History Museum is a research centre too. The Hall of Evolution houses a hoard of fossils and the herbarium many important species within its collection of eight million plant specimens. As it is so popular, it will be easy to find any number of local Paris hotels.
Of course, a visit to Paris would be a waste, without a trip to the Petit Palais. It houses the City of Paris Museum of Fine Arts and showcases a number of exhibitions, which have previously included the YSL fashion exhibit, the Tuck Collection of 18th century furniture and various collections by Rembrandt, Hubert Robert, Pissarro and Greuze.
