Demonology And The Occult

Demonology is the systematic study of demons or beliefs about demons. Since this is an interpretation, Demonology is the Orthodox branch of theology. This branch of theology relating to superhuman beings, not gods. It is like a benevolent beings who do not have a circle of believers, or so limited a circle to be below the level of the gods, and with malevolent beings of all kinds. True meaning of “demon”, since Homer forward, was being friendly, but the English title is currently conducting a connotation of hostility.

Demons, which is regarded as spirits, may belong to any of the classes of spirits recognized by primitive animism, that is, they can be human or not human, separable souls, or a disembodied spirit who have never lived in the body. A sharp distinction is often the difference between these two classes, in particular by the Melanesians, the West African and others; Arab jinn, for example, can not be reduced to a change in the human soul, and at the same time, these classes are frequently conceived as producing identical results, eg diseases. Demonology, although often referred to with negative connotation, is not always seen as evil or devilish as the term would have one believe.

Prevalence demons

For some societies, all things life must be under the control of spirits, each solution of certain “element” or even an object, and themselves in subjection to strengthen the spirit. For example, the Eskimos, as they say, believe in the spirits of the sea, sky and earth, wind, clouds and everything in nature. Each bay of the sea, every point, every island and the famous rock has a guardian spirit. All of them are potentially malignant type, to be propitiated by an appeal to knowledge of the supernatural. Traditional Korean thought the conviction that countless demons inhabit in nature, they fill household objects and are present in all countries. By thousands they accompany travelers, seeking them from their place in the elements.

In ancient Babylon, demonology had an influence on even the most mundane elements of life, ranging from minor hassles to the emotions of love and hatred. The numerous demonic spirits were in charge of different parts of the human body, one for the head, one for the neck, and so on. In Egypt today, the ubiquitous jinn are considered so closely situated that actions such as pouring water on the ground, accompanied by seeking permission potentially dampened spirit.

Greek philosophers such as Porphyry, who claimed the influence of Platonism and the Fathers of the Christian Church, believed that the world was imbued with the spirit, the latter of which put forward the view that the demons have worship to pagan gods.

Many religions and cultures to believe or once believed, that what is now known as sleep paralysis, a form of physical contact with the daemons.
